With 2020 ending, we like to send a holiday greeting to express gratitude as well as reflect on the year we’re leaving behind.
Many of us have felt the impact of Covid-19 to some extent. We have seen businesses adapt to new restrictions by switching to an online presence, some with temporary closures and others shutting down for good. We felt very fortunate that many of our clients have continued to entrust their digital marketing with us and turned to us for support as they tried to navigate through this crisis. We truly felt that we are all in this together.
Each year, we explore opportunities on how to make a positive impact. This year we felt more strongly than ever to help support locally where we can. There were various ways we have tried to give back to our communities. For example, inspired by the 1414All.org pay it forward movement, we offered non-profit clients who were heavily impacted by the pandemic, pro-bono projects in exchange for them paying it forward. We also opted to support clients when the option was available or referred them to new prospects. We donated to charities like the Kidney March, Tiny Superheroes, and Kiva, an online lending platform offering loans that save lives.
Although we were not able to volunteer at Brown Bagging for Calgary Kids this year, we made a financial contribution as well as donated food items. Some of our team members participated in filling backpacks with essential items for the Mustard Seed in Calgary. We have also donated to client giveaway when the opportunities presented themselves and some lucky recipients even received a Fight Covid soap from our friends at Sociallydistant.ca. An initiative that is making a positive impact in our community at the Calgary Drop-in Center & Safe Haven Foundation.
We highly value what we can do to make a difference at Metrik Marketing. We are in this pandemic together and recognize that the rules in place are not forever. We are hopeful for a return to normal. In the meantime, we want to share a fun video of our team, enjoying virtual tropical beaches, as our way of saying Happy Holidays!
